Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 8 October 2026
LoveMe Date is committed to protecting children from harm and maintains a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation. These Child Safety Standards (the “Standards”) set out the rules, reporting mechanisms, moderation procedures and enforcement measures that apply throughout the LoveMe Date platform and to every service operated as part of it. LoveMe Date is operated by Mindware Infotech. These Standards form part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Safety Guidelines.
1. Our Commitment
The safety of children is not negotiable. LoveMe Date is a service for adults, and we design, operate and moderate it to prevent children from accessing it and to prevent anyone from using it to harm a child. We act promptly on every child-safety concern, cooperate fully with the authorities, and apply these Standards consistently to every user, without exception.
2. Scope of These Standards
These Standards apply to every person who accesses, registers for, uses or otherwise interacts with LoveMe Date, and to all content and functionality made available through LoveMe Date services. They apply across the entire LoveMe Date ecosystem, including:
- the LoveMe Date website, lovemedate.com, and its web applications;
- all LoveMe Date mobile applications, on any operating system or device;
- user accounts and profiles, including profile information, photographs and videos;
- messages, chats and any content shared within them;
- voice and video calls and any other real-time communication;
- Moments (stories) and any other content published to other users;
- customer support, grievance and other contact channels, where applicable; and
- APIs, services and any other products operated as part of the LoveMe Date platform.
These Standards apply equally to all users, regardless of how they access the service, and are not limited to any app store, operating system, device, country or region.
3. Definitions
- Child or minor means any person under the age of 18, regardless of the age of majority or age of consent in any particular jurisdiction.
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) means any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a child, including grooming, sextortion, trafficking and the sexualisation of children.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means any visual depiction, including photographs, videos, images and computer-generated imagery, of sexually explicit conduct involving a child, or that sexualises a child.
4. Adults Only: Eligibility and Age Assurance
LoveMe Date is available only to adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or to use any part of the service. Minors are not permitted to use LoveMe Date under any circumstances, including with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Every user must provide a date of birth at registration, and anyone under 18 is refused.
- Profile photographs are screened before they are published, and photographs that appear to depict a minor are blocked.
- We may require any user to verify their age at any time, including by a selfie check or a government-issued identity document. An account whose owner cannot demonstrate that they are 18 or older will be removed.
- Any account found to belong to a minor is closed immediately and its personal data is deleted, subject to any legal obligation to preserve evidence.
5. Prohibited Conduct and Content
The following conduct and content are strictly prohibited on LoveMe Date, in every part of the service described in Section 2. The prohibition applies whether the content is real, simulated, edited, manipulated, computer-generated, AI-generated, fictionalised, or presented in any other form:
- Child sexual abuse material: creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, possessing, linking to or distributing CSAM of any kind.
- Grooming: befriending, contacting or building trust with a child in order to engage in sexual contact, online or offline, or to obtain sexual imagery from that child.
- Sexualisation of minors: any content that depicts, encourages or promotes the sexual abuse of children, or that portrays a child in a sexual manner.
- Sextortion: threatening, coercing or blackmailing a child using real or purported intimate images or information.
- Trafficking and exploitation: advertising, offering or soliciting a child for sexual or commercial exploitation.
- Sexual interaction with minors: any sexual communication with, or sexual comment about, a child.
- Meeting minors: arranging, or attempting to arrange, a meeting with a person known or believed to be under 18.
- Accounts for minors: a minor creating an account, or any person creating, operating or managing an account on behalf of a minor.
- Use of minors' images: using photographs or videos of a minor in a profile, or misrepresenting a minor's age.
6. Prevention and Moderation
We combine technical safeguards with human review to prevent, detect and remove prohibited content and accounts:
- age checks at registration and age verification where there is reason to doubt a user's age;
- automated screening of profile photographs before publication, including for apparent minors;
- in-app reporting and blocking available from every profile, chat and Moment; and
- review of child-safety reports by our moderation team, which gives them the highest priority.
7. How to Report a Child-Safety Concern
If you encounter a profile that appears to belong to a person under 18, or any content or behaviour described in Section 5, please report it immediately. Reports are confidential: the person you report is never told who reported them.
Reporting a profile
- Open the person's profile.
- Open the ⋯ menu and select Block & Report, or scroll to the end of the profile and select Report this profile.
- Select the reason “Minor or Child Safety”.
- Describe what you saw. You may attach screenshots, but please do not save, copy or forward sexual images of a child; describe them instead.
- Select Submit Report. The person is blocked automatically and can no longer view your profile, message you or call you.
Reporting from a chat
Open the conversation, open the ⋯ menu, select Report User and choose “Minor or Child Safety”. The same steps follow, and the person is blocked.
Reporting a Moment
Select Report on the Moment and choose “Minor or Child Safety”.
Blocking
You may block any user at any time by selecting Block User in a chat or Block & Report on a profile. Blocking takes effect immediately and the other person is not notified. If you believe the person is a minor or poses a risk to a child, please report them rather than only blocking them, so that our team can take action.
Reporting by email or through our Grievances page
Anyone, whether or not they have an account, including parents, guardians, educators and organisations, may contact our Child Safety Team at gm@lovemedate.com with the subject line “CHILD SAFETY”, or submit a complaint through our Grievances page under the category Child Safety. Please include the profile name or username concerned and a description of what you saw.
Emergencies
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or your local emergency services first, then report the matter to us. See Section 10 for emergency resources.
8. How We Respond to Reports
- Priority review: child-safety reports are placed at the front of our moderation queue and reviewed by a trained member of our team within 24 hours.
- Immediate protective action: where there is a credible risk to a child, the account concerned is suspended at once and the content is removed from view while we investigate.
- Removal and permanent ban: confirmed CSAE or CSAM results in the permanent removal of the content and the account, and a ban on returning to LoveMe Date through any account.
- Evidence preservation: we preserve relevant information and content securely for law-enforcement purposes, as required by law, and do not delete it before the required period ends.
- Reporting to authorities: we report confirmed CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline and to the relevant national authorities, including, in India, through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in).
- Cooperation with law enforcement: we cooperate fully with police and other competent authorities investigating harm to a child, in accordance with applicable law.
- Underage accounts: an account found to belong to a minor is closed and its data deleted, even where no other violation has occurred.
9. Good-Faith Reporting
The child-safety reporting process exists to protect children. Knowingly submitting false or malicious child-safety reports in order to harass another user is itself a violation of our Terms & Conditions and may result in suspension of the reporting account. If you are uncertain, please report anyway: a report made in good faith will never be penalised.
10. Emergency Resources
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. We can act on our platform, but only the authorities can protect a child in danger.
- India: Emergency 112 · Childline 1098 · National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930
- India, online reporting of child sexual abuse material (anonymous reporting available): cybercrime.gov.in
- International: NCMEC CyberTipline, report.cybertip.org or +1-800-843-5678
- Elsewhere: your local emergency number, police or national child-protection hotline.
11. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Mindware Infotech complies with all child-safety laws and reporting obligations that apply to LoveMe Date, including, in India, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We also comply with the applicable child-safety and reporting obligations of every other jurisdiction in which our services are made available.
LoveMe Date additionally observes the child-safety requirements of the platforms through which its applications are distributed, including Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, under which the application is listed as “LoveMe Date – Match & Connect” by Mindware Infotech. Where a legal or platform requirement is stricter than these Standards, we apply the stricter requirement.
